Ladies and gentleman, after months and months of hard work at the GPPR Headquarters in Downtown Los Angles, I'm proud to announce that GPPR's introduction collection "Rudie Can't Wait" for Holiday 2010 is now in select stores nationwide.

Born of multi-subcultural and diverse influences, GPPR seeks to create apparel for the everyday man to wear every day. The brand is personified by the four different facets of the modern man; The Gentleman, The Philosopher, The Pervert, and The Rebel. Each provides their own set of backgrounds and beliefs, creating an interesting and honest dynamic that serves as the basis of the brand.

Everyone starts somewhere, and while this concise yet straight-forward collection serves as an introduction for GPPR,it is definitely a season that will not disappoint. Entitled 'Rudie Can't Fail,' the Holiday line is dedicated to the British 2-Tone movement of the late 1970's and the working-class beliefs of the youth at the time. The black and white graphic language illustrates the GPPR ideology and ethos, echoing the 2-Tone messages of positive action and unity. Stemming from a constant immersion in Rude Boy subculture, ska & soul music and 2-Tone fashion, we decided it was an apt theme and message to the current cultural climate. The collection features a contrasting black and white color story as a juxtaposition to the aggressive graphics of the tees. Traditionally, black and white is used as a means of division; between classes, politics and races. However, as with the 2-Tone movement, the monochromatic color scheme was used as a means of unity between medium and message, preacher and choir. In a time when the world has given us just about every reason to turn against one another, as cliche as it seems, what we need now is unity. ‘Rudie Can’t Fail,’ seeks to lay the foundation for future GPPR seasons with a bold exclamation of our principles and beliefs. ‘Nous sommes le pouvoir,’ We are the power.

Holiday 2010 is our Message To You, Rudie, and as far as we can see, ‘Rudie Can’t Fail.’

Japanese company master-piece recently brought their goods overseas with a showing at the (capsule) tradeshow in New York City. On display were several bag designs for Spring/Summer 2011, reflecting simple yet functional aesthetics amongst warm color tones and nomadic patterns. Most featured a series of multi-colored panels built on duffel bags, backpacks, rucksacks, and multi-purpose pouches. Surely a lot to look forward to come 2011.

I went to go check out the soft opening of Crab Hut in downtown with Julz (MindzAlike) for our so called "Man Date."

Here's a couple shots of the restaurant. It's a lot bigger than the original location. Definitely a must for pre-parties before getting sh*t faced in downtown. ( Can you spot DJ edROC (MindzAlike)? )

I got the usual Cajun Fries, Tomato Basil soup, & Cocktail shrimp. Still as good as the original.

After lunch, Julz and I went to go meet up with Edric, Hannah, Gian, Josie, Klev, and Judy aka the usuals to hit up Zion Market for ingredients for Hannah Humpdays/Julz bday edition.

After the errands were done, we decided to hit up Shabu Shabu in Clairemont to test our skills in the culinary arts. Ok, we learned how to make some bomb ass soup.

The broth aka B-R-O-th to the finished product tasted so f*ckin' amazing. I definitely recommend people to come and try it sometime.

STOCKTON - Two men have been arrested for the shooting death of 27-year-old Jason Joiner last month at March Lane and Kentfield Road.

Chuong Nguyen, 28, was arrested at about 5 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Way and Lafayette Street, police said, while Vesan Sem, 20, turned himself in to Philadelphia police Thursday and is awaiting extradition from Pennsylvania. Sem had gone to Philadelphia after Joiner's murder, Stockton police said.

Stockton police reported that, about 12:35 a.m. March 28, Joiner had stopped at March Lane and Kentfield Road when a car pulled up alongside his and someone inside fired several shots at him. Joiner's car then jumped forward, hit a median and struck a third vehicle at the intersection.

Joiner was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center, where he died about an hour later.
